Tim is a truly gifted coach.
His innate ability to listen deeply and lead with compassion is unparalleled. His book, Living and Working the Untethered Soul, has been an incredible guide, helping me work through profound concepts and integrate them into my daily life. As I lean into these practices, I’ve experienced a freedom I didn’t know was possible.
— Sabrina Pereira
It was one of the best experiences I had in soul-searching.
As a single father navigating the aftermath of a messy divorce, I realized the impact my hurt and trauma could have had in my relationship with my daughter in the future. Tim’s workshop helped me to learn how to work through these feelings. Through this journey, I learned to let go of the pain and trauma. Coming out of a marriage plagued by deceit, narcissism, and gaslighting, I have managed to reach a place where I do not harbor hatred towards my ex-spouse. Instead, I’m more aware of the feelings that arise in the challenges of coparenting and not allowing those feelings to have control over my choices, which has profoundly improved both my life and my relationship with my daughter.
—Mark B.
Tim created a welcoming, supportive space where everyone could really immerse themselves in the teachings.
Before this class, I had a hard time finishing the book on my own, but the workbook and the structure of the sessions made it so much easier to stay engaged and truly understand the material. Saturday mornings became my sacred time.
—Hongmei Li-Byarlay, Ph.D.

Frequently Asked Questions
What makes this course different from just reading the book on my own?
This course provides structured guidance and community support that enhances your understanding of The Untethered Soul. You'll benefit from my 30+ years of experience living these teachings at the Temple of the Universe, practical applications I've developed through working with diverse groups, and the shared insights of fellow participants. The weekly discussions help you integrate the concepts more deeply through real-world examples and group exploration.
What if I can't attend all the Saturday sessions?
While consistent attendance provides the best experience, we understand life happens. Sessions are recorded and made available to participants. However, we encourage attending live whenever possible to fully engage with the community and participate in real-time discussions.
How much time should I realistically commit each week?
Plan for about 3-4 hours total weekly commitment: 90 minutes for the Saturday session, 15 minutes daily for meditation (about 2 hours weekly), and 60-90 minutes for reading and journaling. This time investment ensures you can fully engage with and integrate the teachings.
Do I need to be experienced in meditation or spiritual practices?
No prior experience is necessary. We'll start with basic practices and progressively build your skills. The course is designed to meet you where you are, whether you're new to meditation or have an established practice.
What if I'm not comfortable sharing in a group setting?
While sharing enriches the group experience, there's no pressure to participate beyond your comfort level. You can learn tremendously from listening to others' experiences and insights while sharing only when you feel ready.
Is this course a form of therapy?
While many participants experience therapeutic benefits, this is not therapy. It's an educational and spiritual development course focused on practical applications of The Untethered Soul's teachings. If you're currently in therapy, this course can complement your work, but it doesn't replace professional mental health support.
What happens between weekly sessions?
Between sessions, you'll engage with assigned readings, complete workbook exercises, maintain a daily meditation practice, and journal about your experiences. This consistent practice helps integrate the teachings into your daily life.
How does the online/in-person hybrid format work?
Sessions are conducted via a user-friendly video platform for online participants, while local participants can attend in person. Both groups receive the same content and opportunity for interaction, ensuring a cohesive experience regardless of your participation method.
What makes someone a good fit for this course?
The best participants are those open to exploring new perspectives, committed to personal growth, and willing to engage in regular practice. You don't need any specific spiritual or religious background – just a genuine desire to understand yourself better and develop greater inner peace.
What support is available if I struggle with the material or practices?
Besides the weekly group sessions, participants receive access to course materials and recordings. Additional support is available through our online community platform where you can connect with fellow participants and ask questions between sessions.
